Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is the treatment of a wide variety of injuries, disability and diseases using evidence based methods such as:
- Manual therapy – mobilisation & manipulation
- Exercise therapy
- Massage
- Modalities – laser, heat, ice, electrotherapy, ultrasound, etc.
- Biomechanical assessment
- Orthotic prescription
- Strength and conditioning rehab
- Vestibular rehabilitation
We believe in a hands-on approach so all treatments will consist of a large degree manual therapy. At your first appointment you will be thoroughly assessed and will be given a treatment programme specific to your particular needs. We use the latest evidence based research to tailor make a programme specific to your requirements, including home exercises to reduce your risk of re-injury. You will leave understanding why the problem occurred and how to prevent further injury.
Conditions treated include:
- Neck, back, shoulder and elbow pain
- Muscle strains
- Tendinopathies
- Sports & dance injuries
- Vestibular Rehabilitation
- Arthritic, hip, knee, ankle & foot pain
- Headache
- Neuralgia
- Pelvic pain
- Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ)
- Muscle imbalance & weakness
- Post joint replacement care
